About this Community
Ocean Walk was built in 1975-1976.
Ocean Walk was once called Heron Lake and Windsong when the community was a popular apartment complex.
This community was converted to Condominiums in 1999.
Ocean Walk sits on 16 acres, two of which are a lake that has fish, turtles and cute ducks, lots of other waterfowl drop by during the year too.
Ocean Walk has 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units. There are 21 total residential buildings. Some of the 2 and 3 bedroom units are townhomes. Buildings are two stories high.
Ocean Walk has beautiful oaks and in the past 10 years we have planted several new ones so future generations will be able to enjoy them as much as we do!
Ocean Walk has a tree spirit, see if you can find it!
Ocean Walk Community does allow short term rentals, all condominium rules and regulations must be honored by owners guests! There is no front desk or check in facility, all rentals are managed by unit owners.
The clubhouse building with the wrap around porch is a community building that has a modest fitness facility, laundry facilities, computer room, kitchen, bahtrooms, book exchange areas, a few childrens toys and tv’s if you need to give each other some space!
There are several gas grills onsite, please clean up after your use. If you find a grill needs fuel please contact the Ocean Walk office 912-638-3392
Ocean Walk is a great place for families to enjoy all that our area has to offer! Kids and pets are welcome here.
Pets are not allowed in our pool area or on tennis courts! Pet owners must clean up after their pet and follow all Glynn County Pet Ordinances. Do not allow your pets or children to disturb the wild ducks or other humans.
Our front pool is heated but if air temperature is not at least 50 degrees several hours during the day the pool may not be warm enough to swim. Ocean Walk reserves the right to turn off the heater if very cold temperatures are expected for several days or the pool heater or pool needs service.
Ocean Walk townhomes flat roofs were updated in 2013 to make them more attractive and to give the roofs more longevitiy. This project was the biggest update made to Ocean Walk since originally built!
In 2019 we added porch roofs over the 2nd floor unit balconies. This update was made to make both upper and lower porches more water resistant, give the unit better use of the decks year around and to help eliminate some of the issues from rain on the exterior decks and patio doors. This update has helped make these decks both more usable and easier to maintain.
All roofs on our 8 townhomes were done in 2013. They were originally all flat roofs which caused maintenance problems. The new roofs were added to eliminate the flat roof issues and to make the building aesthetics so much better. All roofs over all other 11 buildings were replaced in 2019.
Our most recent project was to repair and microsurface our entire parking lot in 2023.
A majority of Ocean Walk Homeowners use their condominium as a second home for their families to enjoy some island time.
